This course is an AIM accredited Level 1 Award in Environmental Sustainability.
The AIM Qualification Level 1 in Environmental Sustainability is designed to introduce learners to fundamental sustainability concepts, equipping them with essential awareness and understanding of environmental issues. This qualification serves as an excellent starting point for individuals looking to develop sustainable practices in everyday life and the workplace.
By completing this qualification, learners will:

• Develop awareness of key environmental challenges and solutions.
• Be encouraged to adopt sustainable habits and decision-making.
This course is ideal for use as an induction programme or as part of a broader vocational pathway, including study programmes and traineeships, ensuring learners are prepared to integrate sustainability into various professional and personal contexts.
It is recommended that you spend 5 hours per week on your course, plus the tutor-led sessions.
This course will be assessed through a number of assignments which vary from essays, presentations, case studies and through observations.
If you pass this course, you will have gained a Level 1 Award.
You will have 4 weeks from your course start date, to complete the training sessions and coursework.
Throughout the course you will have access to multiple resources such as assignment briefs, copy of presentations used in tutor-led sessions, reading materials, and online tutor support.
This course would be suitable to people who have an interest in expanding their ability to deliver information, advice and guidance in a professional capacity. The course is designed to be adapted to multiple different topics of advice, but with a structure on how best to give that advice. We have catered the course to develop understanding from a beginner level, so no previous knowledge is required.
After passing this course, you will have demonstrated your ability to speak to clients in a professional capacity. This can be utilised in a number of careers as the skills can be adapted to multiple advice topics.
This course is delivered through an introductory in-person group session, followed by three one-to-one sessions that can either be online or in-person, depending on preferences, and another in-person group session to end. It is expected that the course is mostly through self-learning, with a tutor available over email to answer questions.
