We are a team of highly qualified energy advisors, community outreach officers, debt advice specialists, and volunteer leads who aim to bring our offer as close as possible to the communities right across the seven Combined Authority areas we serve.
Our key objective is to enable vulnerable energy customers to become more confident and independent.
In doing so, we expect rates of fuel poverty to fall amongst those customers we work with, whilst also promoting positive health and wellbeing outcomes.

Warmer Homes West Midlands is an ambitious customer support programme delivered by us - Act on Energy.
We are a fast growing and dynamic local charity and provide a universal, top-level energy advice service for low-income and fuel-poor households across the seven urban local authorities of the West Midlands: Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton.
We have been up and running for two years now and the service is going from strength to strength. We have just secured more funding to deliver the second expansion phase of the service and our ambitions don’t stop there.
This is a large-scale, high-profile energy advice programme that is actively supported by the West Midlands Combined Authority. It currently expects to support and empower at least 13,500 vulnerable households across the region.
Energy Advice & SupportWecan explain how to best use your heating system, how to best use yourappliances and make fuel savings. We also provide information on energy tariffsand energy switching.
We can support you to better understand where heat is lost from your home, the benefits of better insulation and draught proofing, efficiently controlling your heating, installing small energy efficiency measures and supporting you to access grants for improvement measures in your home.
Our person centre approach also extends to home visits for households who need more involved advice and support.
We are a dedicated team rooted in the communities we serve – and have the understanding and skills to make a real difference, particularly with the digitally excluded.
We train volunteers and frontline support staff across the public and third sector on how best to advise and support their vulnerable customers.
We offer a range of consultancy and training services for organisations of all sizes.

Our Community Outreach Officers can visit you in the comfort of your own home to provide a general energy advice as well as installation of free energy saving measures.
We can offer personalised debt advice referral and support for households with ongoing energy debt issues.
