Energy Efficiency Awards 2025
The end of February saw us attend the West Midlands Energy Efficiency Awards 2025, and we are delighted with the outcome. We have a strong history with achieving recognition through this award scheme, but 2025 was our most successful event so far.
Act on Energy was announced as the winner of the Regional Vulnerable Customer Support Organisation of the Year and were highly commended for the Regional Energy Consultant/Consultancy of the Year award.
But it’s not just the organisation’s success that we are celebrating this year: four of our employees also received individual recognition for their achievements. Carwyn Jones and Artem Chervonyi were commended for Regional Trainee/Apprentice of the Year, whilst Nafizah Farooq just missed out on the top spot by being highly commended for the same award, and Nick Bancroft was commended for the Regional Business Development Manager/Director of the Year award.
With five certificates and one award under our belts, Rachel Jones attended the conference the day after to deliver our presentation on who we are, the impact we have made and continue to strive towards, and the importance of supporting residents with energy advice.
We are proud to be recognised for our work with vulnerable people, as this is a key aspect of our role in the community. With the energy price rises and evolving technology, it can be easy to get overwhelmed with your energy situation. We spend our days working hard to keep our team up-to-date on the latest energy developments, and work on adapting this information in a way that makes sense to our clients. This is valuable for so many residents, but especially for vulnerable people who are struggling with the mounting pressure of energy bills, or are isolated from other support.
