Act on Energy is ecstatic to announce the continued support we have received from Lions clubs over the past couple of years. Dudley Lions and Redditch Lions have honoured us with multiple donations, that have gone towards funding the work we do across our region.

Our Business Development Manager, Paul Muckle, recently attended Redditch Lion’s club to receive a second £500 donation from that branch. He had this to say, “this is the fourth donation we have received from Lions clubs since 2023. It is really great to see that they appreciate the work we do in their areas, and felt inspired to contribute towards the support we can offer. It was wonderful to get to speak to the club members about what this money can do for our charity, and to hear about other causes that have supported.

“Although we receive funding from many different sources through different projects, these funds are very restricted on what we can provide and where we can provide it. Unrestricted donations, like these, are able to fill a gap between projects. This could be a specific demographic that is being overlooked, or a district that could do with additional support with more staff hours or, perhaps, small energy efficiency measures.”

Lions Clubs International has been running for over 100 years, and was formed as a way to bring people together to help support their community through fundraising and volunteering. Many areas in the UK have a local Lions club, that will periodically choose worthy causes that support their community. Every year, Lions Clubs International’s 10,000 members raise around £9million and volunteer over 500,000 hours across Scotland, England, and Wales, the Isle of Man, and the Bailiwicks of Guernsey and Jersey.
