Winter is coming
With the colder weather just around the corner, local energy advice experts Act on Energy has organised a free drop in event for local residents. With the colder weather just around the corner, local energy advice experts Act on Energy has organised a free drop in event for local residents.
The event on Friday 13th at Meon Vale Village Hall will be attended by newly elected MP for Stratford on Avon Manuela Perteghella.
The valuable one-stop shop enables residents to pick up advice and information from local organisations such as Stratford Foodbank, Orbit Housing, Fire & Rescue service and Worcestershire County Council Family Information Service.
Discussions and advice will centre around the cost of living pressures as well as focusing on the practical help that is available.
Susan Needham, Act on Energy’s organiser said: “This is a really valuable opportunity for local residents to pop in and find out what help is available as we head towards winter. The recent announcement to changes in the Winter Fuel Payment and the increase in the energy price cap from 1 October mean that many people will be worrying about their energy bills – and the knock on effect this has the cost of living. I’d encourage everyone to come along and find out what help is available; there are schemes and funding which are open to local residents so it's important to explore if there’s something available to you.”
The event takes place at Meon Vale Village hall 10-12 noon.
