Please read through before submitting an application.
All homeowners, private rented tenants and housing association/Council tenants, can apply or be referred for energy vouchers or energy payments if they:
If your household satisfies each of the 4 criteria, you can apply for support through the Coventry Energy Fund.
Subject to funding and eligibility criteria, this fund could offer you the following:
1. Financial support toward current energy and water costs.
2. Financial support toward energy and water debts.
3. Assistance to repair, service and replace broken boilers and heating systems.
This is open to the following utility types:
This support may come in the form of a direct payment to your energy supplier or energy vouchers.
If you use a key or a card to top-up your pre-payment meter you will be issued with PayPoint or Post Office Vouchers. A letter will be sent in the post to your address, containing the energy voucher codes with instructions on how to redeem them.
A one-off payment onto your gas or electricity account (select 1 energy type only, when completing the application form) for those who pay:

Once you have applied using the form below, you must send in your evidence.
If you require help with electricity, gas and/or water debt, we will require all the above and some additional details.
1. Complete a separate paper application form for debt relief (to be provided by Act on Energy after this online self-certification application is submitted).
2. Provide evidence to Act on Energy supporting the application (the evidence required will be explained in the paper application form).
3. Agree and accept that at the discretion of the Coventry Energy Fund team it may be a condition of assistance that you are referred to a debt advice service to assist you with budgeting and debt management.
Help is available subject to funding.
This support is only offered to the following tenures of housing:
Owner Occupiers:
Shared Ownership households who have a contracted duty to repair:
Long term private rented tenants who have a contracted duty to repair.
This support is open to heating systems of all fuel types and covers the following:
1. Complete a separate paper application form (to be provided by Act on Energy after online self-certification application is submitted).
2. Provide evidence to Act on Energy supporting the application (the evidence required will be explained in the paper application form).

1. There is no guarantee of support and this is not an emergency scheme.
2. We accept referrals from both Professional Referrers and friends or family members.
